Broxburn Gala Week 2009
Foreword by Chairman Graeme Morrice
The theme of this year’s Gala Day is ‘Heroes & Heroines’
This year’s Gala Day will take place on Saturday 20 June at Stewartfield park, with the Opening Ceremony and Gala Queen Crowning in the Broxburn sports centre.
The Parade will set off from Wyndford Avenue (off West Main Street, next to the old cemetery) at 12 noon and end at the sport centre on Church Street.
As always, Broxburn Gala Week will be action packed with activities and events for all ages.
The week itself will commence on the afternoon of Sunday 14 June with the Bonny Baby competition and Pre-school Children’s Fancy Dress contest in the Strathbrock community centre.
Details of these and other events are contained within the pages of this website.
The fun theme for this year’s Gala Day is ‘Heroes & Heroines’. So we look forward to all the floats, decorated premises and fancy dress adopting this theme.
As always, thanks must go to my hard working Gala Week Committee. Although small in number, the Committee’s commitment and enthusiasm is what makes the Gala Day a reality.
However, help is always needed, so why not consider offering a helping hand. Any assistance no matter how great or small is always warmly welcomed.
